  • LETRS Bridge to Practice Update  As teachers and staff complete Volume 2 of LETRS professional development, the district has provided updates regarding Bridge to Practice activities. As indicated in the LETRS platform, Bridge to Practice activities are at the end of each asynchronous unit. Participants who complete Volume 2 of LETRS and wish to receive incentive pay must upload one example of their work for each unit they complete–for a total of 4 examples. Linked here is the spreadsheet that will provide access to the Canvas course that teachers may use to share their Volume 2–Unit 5-8 artifacts: LETRS Bridge to Practice. A second option that teachers may use to share their reflections regarding the completion of Volume 2–Unit 5-8 artifacts may be found here: Bridge to Practice Google Form. As a reminder, teachers should only use ONE of the sites(Google or Canvas) to submit their Bridge to Practice activities or reflections for Volume 2–Units 5-8.  Finally, if teachers need attendance or evaluation links for any of the synchronous Zoom sessions held from July 2023 to February 2024, they may use the document that has been linked here: 2023-2024.LETRS Attendance and Evaluation Links. Sessions are listed in order by the date of the scheduled Zoom session. Attendance and evaluation links have been highlighted in each of the descriptors for ease of access. Teachers or staff who are missing data from the LETRS Dashboard for synchronous sessions should use the document to complete the attendance and evaluation links for each LETRS synchronous session they attended.

Good evening Beavers! This is Ms. Moose for Principal Hogans with some notes for this week.

  • Thank you to those of you who came out to cheer on our second and third graders in their performance of ‘Why Mosquitos Buzz. It was an enjoyable show and they did a great job!
  • Thank you also to those of you who were able to come out to Science Night last Thursday. This proved to be yet another great community building event. I cannot wait until next year’s Science Night!
  • Finally, please join us in Congratulating Mr. Dwayne Tucker, Enhanced Behavior Support for Little River EC Special Populations, as the Little River Teacher  Assistant of the Year! Last week we shared with you that Ms. Erica McRae had been selected as Little River Teacher of the Year.

That is all for now. Spring Break is March 25 through 29, so the next Sunday phone bulletin will be Sunday, March 31. Have a great last week before break and an enjoyable Spring Break. And remember:  it is with your help we ‘bridge’ home and school for our students!
