  • Staff MeetingThis month’s staff meeting is being rescheduled from March 20 to March 6. The purpose of the meeting will be to complete the Teaching Working Conditions Survey and the Employee Engagement Survey. See Draft Agenda here. The meeting will be facilitated by Ms. Hallmets. Staff should bring laptops to the meeting for survey completion. See email from Public Affairs regarding surveys. Staff who complete their respective survey prior to the staff meeting are excused from the staff meeting. (Please email Dr. Hogans.)

  • EVERYDAY STEM BY DESIGN EDUCATOR FOCUS GROUPS As DPS moves forward with professional learning, resources, and implementation of the Everyday STEM by Design framework, DPS would like to convene educators for input and feedback. As part of Growing Together, DPS looks forward to every student having access to daily integrated STEM.  DPS is offering an initial training session on the DPS Everyday STEM by Design framework in preparation for next year.  If you are interested in participating in the development of future STEM professional learning or supporting resources, please fill out this interest form. This opportunity is open to all instructional staff such as IAs, teachers, media coordinators, specialists, support teachers, administrators, counselors, etc. 
  • Social Worker Appreciation Week March 4 to 10, 2024 is Social Worker Week. Please take a few moments this week to show appreciation to our school social worker, Ms. Lucas!

Sunday Bulletin:

Good evening Beavers! This is Ms. Moose for Principal Hogans with some notes for this week. 

  • School Improvement will meet tomorrow afternoon at 2:45 via Zoom.
  • PTO will meet at 6pm in the school media center.
  • Thank you for your support of our school’s recent Kids Heart Challenge /American Heart Challenge program!  Thanks to your efforts, this initiative raised over  $6000 for our school Physical Education/Healthy Living Program. Ms. Neil appreciates your support!.
  • Here are a couple of Save the Date notices for your calendars:
    • Our 2nd and 3rd graders are getting ready for their play on March 12. They have been practicing diligently with Ms. Kirlauski and we are excited for a wonderful performance!
    • Later that same week on March 14 will be our annual Science Night! This will be a fun night of hands-on science activities for students and families. We hope that you will be able to join us.
