- Holiday Energy Conservation Good News! Last school year DPS reduced its energy consumption by 15%! The help of each staff member assisting with energy shutdowns before long breaks has been critical to the success of the conservation program. Winter break is yet another opportunity to further our conservation efforts. Review this flyer link for Winter Break Level II Shutdown Instructions. To keep track with DPS, bookmark the DPS Energy Dashboard.
- Instructional Assistant Academy Thanks to a partnership between the Office of Equity and Professional Learning and K-12 Curriculum and Instruction, DPS is thrilled to present an IA Academy for Spring Semester, 2024. DPS would like to invite all elementary Instructional Assistants to participate in the Spring 2024 IA Academy, a professional opportunity geared toward building IA support for foundational skill instruction! The Spring 2024 IA Academy will consist of four, 1-hour sessions focused on learning, using UFLI Foundations, and preparing to utilize mCLASS progress monitoring data to support small group instruction. Instructional Assistants will not conduct progress monitoring, but they will receive professional guidance in using the data collected to assist students. The sessions will occur on Early Release days from February – May 2024. To learn more about this offering, click here. Registration will be in the Sched app soon. Please contact Terry Phillips or Cicily McCrimmon with any questions.
- MISSING CHROMEBOOK COLLECTION DRIVE DPS currently has more than 9,000 Chromebooks reported as “missing/lost:” commercial DPS will host Missing Chromebook Collection Drive at various sites throughout the district: Monday, January 8, 2024 – Friday, January 19, 2024.

Sunday Bulletin
Good evening Beavers! This is Ms. Moose for Principal Hogans with some notes for this short week of school before Winter Break.
- Thank you to those who braved the weather last Sunday to support Little Shops at Little River. The PTO thanks you for your continuing support!
- School will close for winter break this week: school is closed from Wednesday, December 20 through Tuesday, January 2. School will resume on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
That is all for now. Enjoy the break, however you choose to spend it, whether in holiday or reflection. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! The next Sunday phone message will be Sunday, January 7. And remember: it is with your help we ‘bridge’ home and school for our students!
