  • LETRS UPDATES AND REMINDERS (PK/Elem) As DPS approaches the end of this academic year, staff are reminded that the dates for final LETRS training are quickly approaching.  Current cohorts of K-5 educators will participate in Volume Two (Year 2) LETRS training during the upcoming school year. Volume Two includes Units 5-8, which will require approximately 80 hours of professional development. We are currently creating plans for training new teachers and teachers who were not allowed to participate in Volume One training this year. As a reminder, the district is also providing incentive pay in the amount of $1000 to teachers who complete Units 1-4 of Volume One training by June 16, 2023. Upcoming training dates include the following: Year-Round(June 13th), Traditional(June 12th), EC and ELL teachers(May 3rd and June 13th), and Pre-K(school and community-based-May 3rd).  If you require makeup sessions for LETRS training, please register using the link April:May:June OEL LETRS Calendars .pdf embedded in the calendar to access training opportunities provided by the Office of Early Learning and NCDPI. If you have questions or concerns to share regarding LETRS training, please contact Dr. Hogans or Ms. Kinder.

  • DPS IT Staff Device Refresh Survey: Thank you for your participation in completing the DPS IT Staff Device Refresh Survey. DPS’ shipments of new staff devices have begun arriving and DPS will be refreshing ALL staff devices at the start of 2023-2024 school year. For staff who have NOT completed the DPS IT Staff Device Refresh Survey:  A reminder communication, from Joy Malone <DurhamPublicSchools@dpsnc.net>, was sent at 2:00PM Friday (April 28). Each staff member will receive an individual link (DO NOT FORWARD) and must complete this 5-minute verification survey by Wednesday, May 3, 2023 to avoid any delay in receiving their new district device.
