Field Day is April 6! Field Day will be on Thursday, April 6th for K-5th grade (rainy day make-up will be April 14th). 8th grade students, parents, and Encore teachers will be running the stations. Please assist with your students at the stations if needed (dividing them into groups, getting in lines, etc.). All encore/discovery classes will be canceled for the day. Please remind your students to bring a change of clothes just in case & a water bottle with their name on it! There will not be a chill out station with drinks this year. Our “Superhero” Field Day will consist of 10 stations lasting approximately 10 minutes each with a 2-minute transition time (K-2, special programs: 9am-11am & 3-5: 11:30am-1:30pm). These activities are for fun and will emphasize cooperation and sportsmanship. Students may dress as their favorite Superhero. Teacher packets with schedule, map, & station descriptions will be given out within the next few weeks.

Take Two (2) Summer Program-Employment Interest–The Take Two (2) Summer Program is an opportunity for students to retake their respective EOG to encourage increase in GLP band performance. Please indicate your interest in working Take Two (2) June 14, 15, & 16 here. (June 12 & 13 are also Take Two days; however, these days are included in the 2022-2023 school calendar. June 12 is a required workday while June 13 is an optional teacher workday. Teachers of EOG content courses will be expected to participate in Take Two on June 12 and incentivized to participate on June 13. Eleven and 12 month staff are expected to serve the program as a part of 2022-2023 work calendar.) Positions will initially be staffed and finalized from the pool of staff expressing interest via this form. Information as to schedule and pay rates will be shared as the information becomes available. The current expectation is that certified staff will be paid $40 per hour and classified staff will earn $25 per hour on the June 14-16 days of the program. (Please note that Take Two is different from Summer Bridge, which takes place August 7-11. An employment interest survey will be shared later in April for staff interested in possibly working this program.)
